Restoring Health & Happiness to Senior Cats Since 1992

About Us

After a decade of working exclusively with cats in his own private feline practice Dr.Wackerbarth became aware of a curative, non-invasive, treatment for feline hyperthyroidism that was not readily available in the Pacific Northwest. He became passionate about bringing this treatment to the Seattle area and improving the quality of life for senior cats with this debilitating, potentially fatal disease.

In 1992, Dr. Wackerbath began administering radioiodine treatments for feline hyperthyroidism after extensive training at University of Washington and University of Saskatchwan (in Cananda).

Since then we have had the privelege of restoring health to more than 15,000 senior cats using radioiodine treatments.

The Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center (both Shoreline and Tacoma locations) is staffed with veterinary professionals that have chosen to work specifically with cats and have created a cat-friendly hospital experience. In fact, many cat parents tell us that their cat has never been so calm at a veterinary visit before. Cats are truly our passion and life's work!
