Kristen Sorey, DVM
Dr. Sorey joins FHTC in 2026 to expand her practice of healing cats to treating feline hyperthyroidism with radioactive iodine. The majority of her veterinary practice has been dedicated to feline patients at our sister practice, Cats Exclusive Veterinary Center. Senior cats often present with multiple complex disease processes, including hyperthyroidism, and Dr. Sorey is passionate about working with owners to come up with a holistic approach to managing their beloved kitties. She is described as kind, compassionate, and thorough by colleagues and clients.
Dr. Sorey was born and raised in southern California, then moved up the west coast for her education and fell in love with the PNW. She earned a B.S. in Animal Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and then attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2016. She did a rotating internship at an emergency and specialty hospital in the Seattle area before starting at Cats Exclusive Veterinary Center.
She shares her home with her husband, three tuxedo cats, and a three-legged Golden Retriever mix in Seattle. In their freetime, Dr. Sorey and her husband enjoy backpacking, kayaking, biking, and birdwatching.
